[Volcano Game Jam 2023] Pango's Wrath
A downloadable game for Windows
Pango's Wrath is a management game in which you are an envoy of the island's volcano Goddess, Pango, to look after the village below.
Description
Your goal is to help the island's inhabitants carry out various tasks to enable the village to prosper, while bequeathing a portion of your harvests to Pango as offerings to spare her wrath.
Gameplay
- Move around using your keyboard's arrow keys.
- Pango's “children”, the island's inhabitants, still lack autonomy... To enable them to perform tasks, you'll be able to transport and drop them using the space bar.
- Press B to enter or exit “construction mode”. It's best to start by building a field. There are four (4) buildings (selectable with the number row on your keyboard):
- Key 1 | &: Field
- Key 2 | é: Stable
- Key 3 | ": Butchery
- Key 4 | ': House
- Each building costs resources, collected on trees by villagers.
- There are two ways to produce food: the wheat field AND the butchery. Each will require the attention of a villager.
- To get more sheep, place two of them in a barn, with a villager to look after them. After a while, the building will bring out a new sheep.
- The house allows villagers to mate to expand the village. It works in the same way as a barn, and requires only two villagers.
- Every weekend (~15 minutes), you'll need to have stored enough food to support the village BUT also the Goddess' request for offerings (visible on the north side of the island, at the volcano).
- If you fail to satisfy the Goddess' requests, she will destroy your village. After three errors, you lose the game.
Take care of my village <3 - Pango
